IMR H Goods Wagon Kit

IMR H Goods Wagon built from our kit, painted and decorated.

The first twenty prototype full-size 3-plank IMR H Goods Wagons were built by Metropolitan Railway Carriage & Wagon Company Ltd and supplied for the opening of the railway in 1873. A further batch of six to the same design were supplied by Ashbury Railway Carriage & Iron Company in 1877.

Our finescale model of the IMR H Goods Wagon has been produced as a Limited Edition kit. Components require preparation, painting, decorating and varnishing before assembly.

Model Specifications:

  • Track Gauge: 45mm

  • Length (over buffer heads): 251mm

  • Width (overall): 105mm

  • Height (overall): 76 mm

  • Coupling Centre Height: 33.75mm

  • Minimum Track Radius: 780mm (LGB R2)

The wagon body is resin cast with an exceptional level of detail reproduced in miniature, including bolts, nuts, washers, plates, strapping and even the wood grain! Our diecast metal Isle of Man Railway pattern axleboxes, split-spoke wheels, brake gear and working buffer couplings are all reproduced to scale.
